Hunter.mac used for wizard

Post by wozzie » Wed Feb 23, 2005 10:22 pm

I am trying to change the hunter.mac, http://www.macroquest2.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=7135 to work with my wizard, it is currently for a pally. I believe I just need to change the combat section of the macro but my problem comes into how. I would like the macro to stop at a decent distance and cast the wizard snare, Atol's Spectral Shackles, then cast a nuke, Icebane, untill the mob is dead.

The other question I had is that, there is a few other lines that use pally spells, would it be alright to leave them in or would I need to take them out to make this macro work properlly with my wizard? Any help on this would be greatlly appericated.

Heya wozzie.

You should really go through the entire macro, one line at a time, and figure out what it does.

The stuff like movement routines, you probably don't need to mess with, other than the fact that you won't need to get in melee range.

The corpse loot routines you probably won't need to mess with.

And like you said, just change the combat routine to nuke it until it's dead.

But unless your wizzy can cast pally spells, they should probably be removed from the macro. :) If its a buff routine, then just change them to you wizzy buffs.

If you do as I have suggested and actually go through the macro line by line and understand what it does, you will have gone a long way towards having a decent understanding of the macro language and its usage.
