Patch

Post by Weslee Waters » Wed Jan 26, 2005 11:33 pm

Now that there has been a new patch on Eqlive. Does anyone know how to use Mq2 without it saying Invalid Client?

Thanks

Just when you thought someone wouldn't post this question. I thought we were free and clear since we hadn't seen one so far.

... until the MQ2 developers update MQ2 to work with the new patch. Duh !

<rant mode>

A few things useful to know about software developers:

- We don't suffer fools gladly (see management, sales people, marketing people, HR people, users and customers for examples)
- If it takes one developer one day to fix a piece of code, two developers can't fix it in half a day. Think of software as a baby, it takes 9 months ... just deal with it ....
- If you want to help, go fetch the coffee. Doughnuts too.
- If its after 5pm local time, make that pizza and beer.
- If you want me to fill in a timesheet, give me a timesheet code for the time spent filling in a timesheet.
- The word "No" means "NO". We don't hide stuff from you deliberately, its usually that we can't be bothered thinking down to your level to explain it.

</rant mode>

Most developers (and I speak as one) can be compared with sociopaths ... but the sociopaths complain about getting a bad rap ....

Ok, well I am sorry. I am a newbie and I did not understand, thanks for the flame.

I just asked a simple question. Sorry.

You have to have pretty thick skin to hang out here.

The devs will post an announcement when the new zip is ready.

Should not be to much longer. You also may want to consider donating a little.

Not really. You just have to try to help yourself before you ask an obvious question.

I wasn't going to respond till I saw the "I just asked a simple question". You have asked a question that exists in 31 other threads if you would have deemed to search for it. 31. This isn't some kind of undocumented feature or issue. This is an incredibly common question that goes back to December, 2003.

Do you know how long it took me to find those other 30 threads? About 12 seconds.

Click on Search, type in "invalid client", click on "Search for all terms", click Search button at the bottom.

So please understand that our ire is not with you directly. It is with all of your lazy ass ilk that feel the need to post yet again about something that has been asked and answered more than it needs to be and you are the latest dumbass to set his foot in the trap.

If you take anything away from this experience, let it be that you do not have an original question. What you want to know is on the boards already. The search engine does work, it is your friend.
Reading . . . it's not just for me.

I did not notice a search button, if I did I wouldn't have bothered posting.

My apologies.
