I would be willing to bet most of you that are jumping on the Flame wagon so fast are the ones that were once newbs yourself and got flamed for a stupid question . Whatever helps you sleep at night I guess.

Please enlighten us as to the point of your post, because you just sound like an idiot. You're putting your hand in the crazy pool here.

Actually no they flame becuase they most of the time they see the same messages over and over again and get tired of people not taking it apon themselfs to bust the http://www.macroquest2.com/phpBB2/search.php Search button. And in most cases I would agree that if you dont have something nice to say dont say it at all. But there are the rare cases in which someone posts a message so silly that even I am tempted to want to jump in with both feet.

If you notice all the flames come from posts like

"I cant compile" Posted in the Macro Depot section
"How do I compile this macro" Clearly covered 10000 times in search

As you can see if you searched then the flames would be less :)

Just my two cents.. And remember.. This is comming from an avid Anti-Flammer..

Here's a novel idea! when a newb posts a "stupid" question......IGNORE HIM! If reading and answering these kind of posts upset you, then don't! The newb will either figure it out on his own or get tired of waiting for a response and leave. I have to agree with the original poster...I think some of you guys get off just being able to "flame".

And Lax, I got the point of the post. I get another point also. I never notice you calling anyone a "idiot" or any other kind of degrading name on your boards when a customer or potential customer asks a newb question. Afraid to piss someone off? Or are the MQ2 boards merely a place where you can go t relax and let your true feelings burst out? Enquireing minds want to know. BTW, I use your product and thnk its great! Don't degrade yourself on these boards.

Don't confuse yourself. Lavish Software is a business, this is a message board for open source software.

If we ignored every stupid newb question, there would only be responses to about 5% of all posts. And this thread wouldn't be one with responses. The only reason for this thread is to pick a fight, which is what it looks like you're trying to do also.

No Lax, I don't pick fights. I am merely sugesting that you would represent YOUR business (Lavish Software) alot better by conducting yourself here as you would there.

MQ users have long been aware of the way I represent myself on these forums. Likewise, Lavish Software customers are aware of the way I represent myself on those forums. My suggestion to you is you should worry about yourself, and I will worry about myself. Not wasting our bandwidth with posts like this would be cool too.
