After your June 13th patch, MacroQuest now not only gives me an incorrect version message with a date, but it now continues to pop up this same dialog until I kill the process or exit everquest.

My system, and at least one other person I know of has it reporting the following for GMT:
Wed Jun 12 11:28:00 2002

And how would I utilize that information?

1. change MacroQuest.ini to match
2. Let me know what it's reporting, what version you are running, and what timezone you live in, so I can figure out why it's not working.

you copied your eqgame.exe after patching didn't you?
The current eqlib.exe is relying on creation time, but when eqgame gets copied to a different location, the creation time changes.
Simple fix: use modified time. that persists through copies.
Re-releasing the build to fix this.

I believe I fixed this issue and released a zip with just eqlib.dll.
the change I made was simply stat.ctime -> stat.mtime

Here is my copy of eqgame.exe:
06/12/2002 04:28 AM 2,097,152 eqgame.exe
1 File(s) 2,097,152 bytes
And I had already tried changing the ini to both match the creation date of eqgame and the date that it was relaying in the dialog to no avail. I will try your patched version in a moment.

This appears in your ini file:
[MacroQuest]
ClientVersion=Wed Jun 12 11:28:00 2002
This is what the dialog now shows after redownloading and applying your library patch:
Incorrect Client Version
Wed Jun 12 09:28:00 2002

Just change it in the INI for now, make sure you don't put a blank space at the end of the line.
I will have another version out tonight with this fixed.
There was no timezone issue it appears, the whole things was the creation date vs modified date.
