Sense Heading Macro

Post by Daghita » Sat Nov 09, 2002 11:42 am

Out of my attempt to try and raise Sense Heading via Macro something strange happened. Instead of it going through the motions of a timed button depress when needed...it actually put the location and the letter heading of each person in zone.

You'd do a / with Enter to see who's in zone...and in () it had something like this... (213.3 NNW). Which through me off...any ideas what happened and if I should stop using it?

/who
ect will list players (and NPC's) like that. It is working as it should while running MQ

See the readme for some more on the changed behavior of the who command

Well, my first attempt and then some editing and understanding...I've come up with my first macro. /cheer

It ain't much...but it works

Code: Select all

Sub Main

   :senseheading

      /if n $char(ability,"Sense Heading")>0 /doability "Sense Heading"

   /goto :senseheading

/return

i had the same idea, but mine was a little more simple.

Code: Select all

sub main
:loop
/doability 4 (that is the number sense heading is in)
/delay 3s
/goto :loop
/return
on your what is the if statement for? i can see if u were putting it in there to check to see if ur sense heading less than the cap, so it would stop senseing headin when it got to the cap. i might do that one day.

twb010,

Code: Select all

/if n $char(ability,"Sense Heading")>0 /doability "Sense Heading"
is to determine if sense heading is, in fact, a skill you have assigned to an ability button, and if it is ready to be used. If it is ready to be used (>0) it will use it.

$char(ability,"ability name") returns the ability slot number if it's ready, returns -2 if it's on a button but unavailable, -1 if you do not have that skill at all, and 0 if you have the skill but don't have it set to an ability button.

oh, and btw, RTFM
