As long as you are not currently running a macro that is doing something "BOT LIKE" when they show up they wont be able to tell... If you are using MQ2 to give you information. Just make sure you dont give the GM information that you shouldnt know.. IE I targeted soandso across the zone and he <insert something here>... Use common sense and you will be fine.. Only way they can tell is by ethier you doing something silly or by telling them :)

I think he had a brain fart and meant to say /report.
I'm fairly new (only a month or so under my belt). But I believe if you are running the plugin MQ2ChatWnd it is designed so that EQ never "sees" anything that goes in there. If you notice your eqlogs dont pick it up either.
I believe I read somewhere that it is indeed completely seperate from the UI as far as EQ is concerned and nothing in that window will be sent with a /report nor can be viewed in anyway by a SOE CSR.
However using MQ2Chat plugin as your MQ2 Window, or no seperate MQ2 Window at all, and it acts like another window. In that everything shows up in your eqlogs, can be viewed by CSR's via /report and maybe other means.
Correct me if i'm wrong.

That's the current state of affairs, as I understand it.

Yes, CSR's can "grab" the last few lines in your chat window - without you knowing. Yes, if you are careless and you don't use MQ2Chatwind, lines will show up in any /report, and if a CSR pulls those last few lines it WILL show to him.
[quote="dont_know_at_all"][quote="sybarite"]Um.. search works fine for me (used spell_routines.inc)... Try scrolling down you lazy fuck.

i do use the normal mq2 window along with 2 seperate eq chat windows... i was just curiose because i had a problem with my title. and was wondering if i did /petition, and /bug... if they would see that i am using mq2. the question arose because in rtfm it says
To disable MQ2ChatWnd
/plugin mq2chat
loads the default chat plugin (normal chat window)
/plugin mq2chatwnd unload
unloads the MacroQuest2 chat window
Once you do the above two commands, all output from MacroQuest2 and normal EverQuest commands will go to your log, and will be visible to EverQuest.
Be careful if doing a /report or /petition. MacroQuest2 output visible in x number of lines will be sent.
now i know i may get slammed for this but like i said i am new to this. does that mean if i am using the normal mq2 window it is safe to do /petition?

Well, I think I should modify the text to say:
If you are using MQ2Chat any MQ2 output in the last 20(?) lines of text can be seen/grabbed or be reviewed if you make an errant /report.
Would that be more helpful?
