EQ2 Vids -- Ick

Post by Night Hawk » Wed Oct 13, 2004 3:20 pm

I was just checking out a few vids over at:

http://pc.gamespy.com/pc/everquest-ii/5 ... ?fromint=1

In some of these videos I'm continually asking myself "WTF are they showing us? How bland this game is?" I mean some of these vids are just bad, shows the character walking around in 3rd person, and everything is bad enough looking from whatever the hell they recorded teh video. It looks like an updated version of Morrowind, lol. I'm thinking EQ2 is gonna be all about questing, and some gay fantasy fighting. From the vids from their site, it looks just too "kiddie" for me. Anyone else aggree or have anything they would like to add, or maybe counter with what I"m trying to say?

I know TONS of people that HATE doing quests in EQ1, but still love to play. I know tons of people who won't do their epics. ect, ect ,ect

I think I can read the title of a game I play on almost a daily basis. I didn't mean it was a bad thing. I don't mind questing. But from POV I'm not seeing them putting it into the game very well. But again I wouldn't know, I haven't played it yet.

EQ2 quests are easy and usually you do them inadvertantly while you're doing something else which is good cause you get good exp for doing quests. It's not ALL ABOUT QUESTS though... you have to accept quests to do them after all but why wouldn't you want to accept one then run around killing all like in EQ1, then getting lots of experience and money for doing who knows what?
