Cant stress this enough - take this from someone who has just lost 3 yrs worth of mail, 3 yrs worth of company accounts, 3 yrs worth of work and personal documents...do backup your data - dont rely on crappy external hard drives - i did and now im f*cked!

Lol thx Java - i went and bought a copy of R-Studios recovery util - recovered almost all the files (about 3 missing from 12,000!)
anyways, no time for EQ atm - too busy writing all my files to DVDR!!!

Make backups of your personal data - dont rely on external drives alone - make regular backups to reliable media. take it from someone who knows...
