Looking for information

I'm new to EQ macros, and macros of this kind in general, and I was just wondering if there were any sites you could recommend I read before I try to mess with creating my own macro. I'm not too keen on programming, so anything along those lines would help too. Thanks!

I would trawl through The Macro Depot Find a Small Macro and try to understand the flow of it, Get a pad write it down then try and associate what you know MUST happen with what the code says, Most of the TLO ( Top Level Objects ) are easily identified, then read the Readme.chm file that is in the ROOT of your MQ2 folder, take the forage macro above and insert some /echos saying things like "i should be sitting" "i should be putting this in my inventroy" just so YOU know you understand it. Then look at bigger macros, When i joined i never even imagined i could ever write a macro but i have since posted a few for others to enjoy. USE first then Learn, THEN try, THEN ask for help, allways post what you have done so far BEFORE you ask for help or ya gonna get alot of shitty responses, WHY you ask, because EVERYONE of us Learned it like you have too.
Its a great piece of software, There is masses of information here for you to learn and share you wont need any other place to learn.

Yep the best way is to work with simple code and work your way up. It takes time to learn something like this. If you have, and you don't from your post, a bit of programming background it does help. If not, then it is even more important for you to learn "FLOW" in programming.

For-Next (basically a counter, in most uses)
/for A = 1 to n /next A

If - Then - Else
/if X(insert condition) then do Y, else do Z

Get a handle on those and you are on a good start. I'd use google to search for basic information on coding, such as the above. The manual and the site are NOT geared towards the total novice, nor should they be.

I'd say you're on a good start, your first question wasn't cause for a flame fest. Good luck!
