KEI macro

Is it possible to make a macro using a Basic style if/then statement. Specifically, to park a character in nexus and set it to automatically shout KEI for 50pp, and when, and ONLY when a person hands you 50pp your character stands up, KEIs them, and sits back down. Repeated, and so forth.

I know of a guy that was in the bazaar in trader mode. and when you bought something off him you got KEI too. Scripted of course and selling rations for 50pp.

Oh yeah BANNED as well.

Just thinking on it but plenty of people sit in the nexus and KEI for god only knows how many hours... Just as an example, I was hunting, came back to the nexus 4hrs later and the idiot was still "selling" KEI for 50pp a shot.

My point being, if someone is actually going to sit there for 4 hrs and auction off KEI I don't think VI is going to care about a macro for that purpose.

P.S. Just don't do it for too long... I could see at most a five hour marathon of KEI + selling goods...

It seems kinda cheesy to whore off your character specific abilities like so, but... if theres a market for something, there will be those who trade in that something. Its very nice to grab a KEI for 100pp or whatever if youre a druid , since i can make it back in less than an hour of quadding, and it lets me quad pretty much w/o downtime.
Macroing this is , however, extremely lazy, if nothing else

Hmm.. Pretty much think I figured out the script in my head now, Gee.. now I only need to make a lvl 60 chanter.. Ack, guess not..

Personally I only use MQ to kick and taunt when I fight (I'm the only one that got really tired of that

?) But still, tradeskills macros is used to avoide getting tired of doing the same thing over and over.. And maybe a KEI scrip could help all the silly chanters out there do there specifik thing over and over, personally I would like two things though:

1) The chanter shouldnt go afk, he still have to sit there and watch (even more boring?), no macros when your not there, that only gets you banned.

2) The chanter shouldnt make a profit from the script.. So making it a free KEI, and I then wouldnt mind writing the script.. Tthough it would ruin the market for those doing it the 'old' sit-shout-getmoney-stand-castKEI way..

Maybe we should just make a macro that shout "KEI 50 pp -location-" every 10 min, and then make a hotbuttom:
/Stand
/Cast 8
/pause 50
/sit

Anything more than that would be making the money making thing to easy :)

Why shouldn't the enchanter make profit from the script? Is this any different than any of us who have used a macro to aid in tradeskills?

Personally I used a couple macros to aid in getting 250 in Brewing. WHat do I do now? I make KC and sell it for profit in the bazaar. Now since I use a macro to make the KC, is it unfair to competitors? Should I just give away?

Your logic that the enchanter shouldn't make money does not hold water. The only difference here is that someone is using a macro to eliminate the tedium of casting a spell versus doing a tradeskill. As far as I have seen, MQ is a program to assist in reducing the HELL of repetitive tasks. Casting KEI is not much different than making KC.. a pain in the ass.

I will agree that in a general sense it is NOT smart to macro the sale of KEI while AFK. It would be MUCH too easy to get caught.

Yes macroing is amazing and I personally dont care if you are sitting at the keyboard or out taking a smoke/coffee break. Where I draw the line is .... I wont write (well to be exact POST) a macro that has an obvious oppertunity to get you caught. The timing of the original KEI post was close to the banning of an enchanter who was basically casting KEI unattended. That was an unfortunate occurance and did color my views.

If you read the very first post the intent implies unattended macroing. If that was not the intent it would have been clarified in subsequent posts.
