Ok. So im thick-headed. Ive read both the txt readme and the webversion. I cant get this thing to start. Here's what I did:

Went to Downloads page. Tried to DL the "Latest Stable Release" but the link said it wasnt in service so I went back and clicked the link above it. Downloaded 0905.

Unzipped it and ran it. It went down into my system tray and waited for me to start EQ. I ran EQw and upon entering it gave me an error message "Incorrect Client Version Wed Oct 16" Im guessing that I dont have the correct offsets maybe?

So I went back to the unzipped folder and I have found the eqgame.ini that came with the download. Should I drop this into my Sony/EverQuest folder?

Right about know someone is groaning and hoping im never successful because I sound so lame. I really need this program because I have limited use of my fingers and chronic arthritis.

Id be grateful for any help I could get.

Thanks.

short answer... stable releases of MQ broken. look at main page. you'll see that there's a little thing in the news area about mq being broken, and then a little thing about it being fixed, somewhere in that fixed line there's a link to download the latest IRC release.

note: irc releases include the source code, but the executable can be found in the \release folder

it's got a few annoying bugs in it still, but at least it's mostly functional...
