MQ2 work with EQEmu ?

Post by Ned24 » Fri Jun 18, 2004 7:07 pm

Before I started trying to set up MQ, I was wondering if it works with the EQ Emulator from EQEmulator.net Really new to this stuff, so don't know if it would work the same.

Thanks.

The offsets that make this program possible are for the everquest.exe memory structs.

That's not accurate Kracken. MQ2 can work with EQEmu as long as you have an MQ release for the eqgame.exe that your emu server is running.

You could not, however; use the most current MQ2 w/ most of the Emu servers because they are usually a patch or two behind live unless you make sure the offsets and memory structs are changed to match your Emu client.

Now the more apt question is, can you find a copy of MQ2 that matches the eqgame.exe that you need. The answer to that is ... maybe. The MQ2 archives are cleared out when some bozo decides to post things they shouldn't to public non-MQ related boards and the devs have to take steps to eliminate or reduce the damage of such posts.

If you decide to play in the Lucid server, I can get you a copy of a working MQ2 for that one.

PM me.
