Event issues~

Post by Draob Egassem » Tue May 11, 2004 3:50 pm

I'm having a pretty annoying issue with the new events..

The code below is a (very stripped, removed the non relevant parts to make it clearer for posting) hub i use for my shaman bot's macros (all of my sub macros are used both by themselves and through the hub, might be weird but i find it more convenient :) ).

Code: Select all

#event rebuff "#*#rebuffmedearbot#*#"
#event fight "#*#fightingtimedearbot#*#"

Sub Main
:hubloop
/doevents
/delay 1s
/goto :hubloop
/endmacro

Sub Event_rebuff
/macro rebuff
/return

Sub Event_fight
/macro slow
/return
I'm also having the same issue with my usual melee macro, my enraged events are now broken... Now i know Lax changed them in the last couple of zips, but i guess the thread about it exceeds my reading abilities because i can't figure out how to fix my macros.
Kind of annoying to convert all my macros to MQ2Data without breaking a sweat then hammering my head against the wall for 24 hours not figuring out something else ;)

So you have a macro calling another macro? it appears once and event triggers your hub mac will end and start another macro... this wont work but one time and that time will be when 1 event is triggered....
<Oid> You know whats sad

yes, when triggered the event quits the current macro and starts another one, (with a parameter that i've taken off in this stripped version for clarity reasons). I'm not trying to have it triggered more than once, my parameter system tells the next macro whether to relaunch the hug or chain to another macro.
I do realize it's a rather odd way to handle it but it works for me, heh.

My issue is simply that it doesn't trigger anything... No error message or anything, just no reaction at all to the trigger phrase.

What it should do, and used to do, is really just that, launch another macro which exits the current one. I'm guessing my syntax is somehow screwed up, but i haven't been able to put my finger on what part of the event is wrong.

take the portion you pasted, make it into its own macro, run it. it will work, assuming you have the latest zip...

That's what I was thinking... neverminding how you control your macros there isn't anything wrong with the event setup.
Make sure you have the newest zip.
