How to find new offsets?

Post by testerperson » Fri Sep 27, 2002 6:18 pm

I play mostly on test server and I was hoping to get an explaination as to how I would go about finding offsets for test? I have a decent knowledge of win32dasm and hex editors just not getting how to get the offsets for test. Any help is appreiciated.

Disassemble a version that you have the offsets for, then disassemble the new version compare the code, find the new offsets, not that hard really.

I will admit I did it for the first time this morning, and it works, well except for the version check (=1 fixes that too).

I know how to compare the code in the disassembler, my question now is how do you find the offsets for any higher than 005D... cuz that seems to be where win32dasm stops?

I had it stop short of the end once, just ran it again and it had it all, not sure why it did that.

rizwank, I'm not sure how you ment that, I was/am not bragging, just making the point that's really not that hard to figure out.

Post by testerperson » Sun Sep 29, 2002 12:16 am

Ive reloaded both eqgame and testeqgame in windasm many times and it always stops at 005D... anyone know how to make it go all the way to the end of the program?
