Just read Lax's post... the only one I'll bother reading and/or responding to.

Lax, when I saw that childish bullshit pop up on my screen, I thought "Man... Somoeone's gonna be in deep shit when Lax sees that." I was so confident in your abilities to manage this project and keep adding useful and helpful things to it that I never dreamed that you yourself would have been behind it. I figured it was one of the more childish lackies you have around that have access to the codebase... At any rate, I was deeply saddened when I found out it was you who added this useless trash to such otherwise exquisite code.

You're right. It does not hinder the functionality of the debug spew at all. It does, however, hinder its usefulness a great deal, unless you take the extra steps involved to disable this "feature".

I've always been in good standing on this board more or less. I contribute when I can, and point out valid bugs when I find them. I ask ONE question whose answer can be found in changes.txt, and I am blasted with "if you knew what you were doing..." by someone who has no reason to dislike me or be rude to me in any way.

I know you can see that the way people act here is bullshit if you are a decent human being. Look at ml2517 for christ sakes all he can offer to the debate is name-calling. I asked a simple question that could have been answered with one of two sentences "add blah blah line to macroquest.ini" or "look in changes.txt for the answer"

There is no need for the "if you knew what you were doing" insult in a functional helpful community. I wouldn't do that, and other people who deserve to be breathing our air wouldn't either.

I'm disappointed... (yes, I'm fully aware you don't give a shit) - Just less attacking people would be good. Some of these people have never seen a sheet of code let alone written a program or script in their lives. I've been doing this for years and years and if I'm missing something simple, it's obvious these new people can do the same.

Maybe you could make a "non-flame" section on the boards or something where people could ask questions without getting flamed and the posters that feel obligated to do so could pratice a little self control and simply not respond. Just a thought.

Good luck with your project. Keep up on that manual Wassup... Lord knows it's the only place these new people will be able to get any helpful information.

The reason why you are getting flamed for this shit is that this is like the 5th person to come here whining about this *feature* Lax added.

Lax made it quite clear how to disable the feature.

The point? Help your fucking self, and don't come here to bitch when people are giving this to you for free.
