It sucks that outside of the release notes, theres not crap in the release about MQ2DATA.

That would not be a bad thing if sourceforge was worth a damn and these pages where readily accessable at a reasonable speed.

You're having issues with these pages loading? Granted they're not the fastest. But I rarely have to wait more then 5 seconds for a page to load, and usually there is no noticable wait.
Maybe get like broadband or something?

sourceforge

Post by dweomer » Thu Apr 22, 2004 11:37 am

for me sourceforge is pretty slow too. 10 seconds or longer is common for pages to load. i have broadband (well kinda, 144kbps IDSL) and sf.net has been slow for a long, long time. i seem to remember some big datacenter change, like a new server setup or a move or maybe va's relative collapse about a year after sf.net went gold and that's when the slowness became manifest. my memory is fuzzy so i may be wrong on the when and how but I DO remember sf.net being more responsive in ancient times.

SF is faster today than it was yesterday. It's not really consistent, and I also get pissed off at the load times. In fact our dev cvs was slow as shit yesterday and it took me ~15 mins instead of ~4 mins to go from having code ready to having the zip uploaded. It's not just the boards ;)

SF.net wins the slowest site of the day award just about every day.

I hit these boards a lot, some days/times it's quick other days the boards won't even come up at all, just get "can't find server". Maybe someday they can look at hosting the forums off the SF site, but then to do that they probably need more donations.

Speaking of Donations, I'm still looking to make one but the link for donation issue I posted on still hasn't changed.

Once everything is finalized and functioning the way it's supposed to, I'm sure Wassup will have the Readme all updated. Until then, just try to be patient :)
