before someone flames me.. I've read the freakin message boards.
I looked at all the sticky's and searched on all the problem strings.. nothing has helped.
I ran mqauth and had a friend compile it for me and it works fine (up until this lates patch)
so my system CAN run mq2.
When I try to compile it does not recognize any of the projects. I open up the sln file and I get popups that say:
The application for project 'D:\mq\mq2chat\mq2chat.vcproj' is not installed
Make sure the application for the project type (.vcproj) is installed
Wth does this mean?
Thank you for any help

some other symptoms:
I click ok and then I get a pop up with the same error but pointing to a different plugin... once I click ok about 10 times it asks me if I want to convert the solution.
I say no and it doesn't open the solution
I say yes and it opens the solution but then in the solution explorer everything is unavailable.
I then go to the configuration manager and no projects are listed.

Just convert them all.
The project files are for vs.net (not vs.net 2003) and therefore need to be converted.
