checking for mobs and adds in a certain radius

Ok, i used to do alot of mac making but since we upgraded to mq2 i havent really touched it at all, ive looked around and tried to use some of the new commands but im not having much luck putting them into code,
i finally figured out how to convert everything, but what im wanting to do is check for mobs in a certain radius, say 100 radius from a cetain loc, not me, but a loc, and then, know when an add comes into the radius if some1 could post the coding, or explain how to build it i would be most appreciative

well, if i deserve to be flamed i really dont mind it, i'll call myself a dipshit dumbass b4 anyone else would:) however i found those commands, and like i said i didnt really understand how to put them into coding, tried a few times, and failed, so if you could maybe give me a small example i can take it from there

This is why the Search feature is so useful for finding small examples of things not understood. Unfortunately, I'd estimate 3 out of every 10 posts to this forum don't bother to use it.
