sell macro

Post by Pax » Tue Mar 02, 2004 1:37 am

ive seen alot of ppl requesting a sell macro i found this one in here (this is NOT my macro, but it works)

Code: Select all

| - SellItem.mac -
|
| Usage: /macro SellItem "Bottle of Milk"
| 11/21/03

Sub Main
   /declare OldMoney local
   /declare NewMoney local

   /autoinv
   /sendkey down shift

   :Finding
      /if n $count("@Param0")==0 /goto :Done
      /finditem "@Param0"

   :WaitFind
      /if "$cursor()"=="FALSE" /goto :WaitFind

   :Selling
      /delay 1s
      /varset OldMoney $char(cash)
      /sellitem $selecteditem(count)
      /click left merchant sell

   :WaitSell
      /varset NewMoney $char(cash)
      /if n @NewMoney==@OldMoney /goto :WaitSell
      /goto :Finding

   :Done
      /sendkey up shift
      /endmacro

/return
open all bags + inventory and click the merchant rest should be self explaining.

once again this is not my macro but big cudos to the guy who made it

Funny enough, if you check Snippets, you'll see Bob_the_builder has posted that exact macro... in the form of a .inc.
He had posted that yesterday.

The only problem i have with thsis type of macro is that it requires the "Exact" name of the item, there is no way to find an item "similar" to the name and sell it with this macro, hence the trouble I was having.

I simply tore one of those apart and hashed it together to suit my needs..works like a charm.

Draekz,

would love to see that posted here for reference when searching for "sell".

Could you post your hashed sell mac/inc here or in snippets.

Looping through inventory?

Post by ImaNoob » Tue Mar 09, 2004 3:53 pm

How would a person adapt this so the sell ALL sellable items in regular inventory, skip the nodrops obviously.

I fish a alot and it sometimes takes me upwards of 10 minutes to sell all that I fish up, I would LOVE to see someone adapt this macro to /macro sell "ALL" and have it sell everyitem in regular inventory as soon as I click on a merchant.

Is this even possible?

Could be done, would be dangerous :) You might end up selling you're spare weapons or SoW potion or something.

Stuff

Post by ImaNoob » Wed Mar 10, 2004 3:35 am

The trick is that I don't keep stuff like that on me, but just to be on the safe side, maybe an INI that doesn't sell certain items or will request confirmation, on certain types of items, like stat buffing stuff. I certainly wouldn't want to sell my sword of Uber Slashing +10 Mana on my warrior.
