HoH and Locked Kite

Post by Advari » Thu Feb 19, 2004 8:06 pm

Do you guys who use the locked kiting use AE's? Just curious as to what songs you use. Great work by the way Dozer, Only problem I've had is the targeting error, which isn't really a problem if you don't fully idle.

Because of the range of AE damage songs, it isn't really practical.

I used the original advchant by Raebis for AE kiting. Worked fine for me.

I thought the original script by Rabies was abandoned since this one popped up withmore activity. I read most of both threads, maybe I missed some backstory.

Anyway I'd suggest renaming this one since it looks like it forked a revision back or so.

I haven't tried either yet but am going to this evening on my bard, they both look like really nice work.

I used the original advchant by Raebis for AE kiting. Worked fine for me.
In order to get similar functionality for AE kiting here, you would need to override a couple of things:

** /rmin # - sets minimum rotation radius (i think default is 70). You need to set this to your AE kiting radius.
Optionally, you could instead use /radOR to override using radius limits, but that setting doesn't save to the ini at this time.
** /avoid - turns off mob avoidance.

Then just /save your settings.

I've never done any AE kiting with this code, but these settings should do the trick.

If it's the same bug I'm thinking of, you can comment out the following:

Code: Select all

   /if n @DEBUG==1 /call mqout "Circ: @CMDistance/$distance(@CirX,@CirY) [$int(@CirR)] YOU:($int(@MyLocX),$int(@MyLocY))/($int(@MyLastLocX),$int(@MyLastLocY)) MOB:($int(@CirX),$int(@CirY))"
And that should resolve the problem. If it's another bug, let me know.

Ok, this is gonna sound stupid but... A bard friend of mine has allowed me to use her to help finish up lvl 63 and 64 on my beast.

I have tried this mac with the following.

/macro advchant 1234 7 8 100
and
/macro advchant 1234 7 8 50

The dots I am using are
Tuyen Chant of Ice
Tuyen Chant of Plague
Tuyen Chant of Fire
Tuyen Chant of Venom

my healing is chorus of marr
and using lvl 51(?) Selos

I am in HoH... I pull w/ lull and snare run to the tree in the middle of the GY. Target myself and hit a key to start the macro. The proper mob is targeted BUT

With 50 I just rotate in a circle (staying in place) and get pounded on. With 100 I wall ALOT... Zone line ALOT. And it doesn't seem like I am actually landing any dot's... (mobs health does not decrease)

I have no INI file and, I am not using any advanced commands.

Any of you out there have any idea what I might be missing?

Thanks for the macro BrainDozer. I have a couple of newb questions. What do the advanced commands do? Also, is there a reason you don't have an "include" list? Where the macro would only go after mobs on the list? Do you plan on adding something like that in the future or is that not feasable for some reason?

Once again, thanks for posting you macro.

Awesome macro Braindozer, but I got a problem:

I goto PoN and gather some mobs, like 20 and start the macro, it start out fine and begin dotting a mob. But after I killed it, it can begin kiting a new mob, OR this happen "Ending macro: Calculate encountered unparsable text" in red text then lotsa in white text to finish with much errors in red and the macro end and I just run straight forward.

Has this something to do with the targetting of a new mob? I aint good at programming macros, so I hope u can help me. /bow

I was wondering if you had thought about adding Angstlich's Assonance into the loop? It lasts a minute and slows them while doing pretty good damage. I've seen all the other stuff implemented like the ss boots and that just owns, just figured I'd throw in my idea for a little increased dps with a slow for added saftey (not that it's really needed).

My other idea was to add something at the kill point that tells you how much damage you did total to the mob too. It would be useful to dertmine mob hp's and figure out what was best to kite, but mostly just a little eyecandy.

Thanks for the great mac, excelent script man.

Just wanted to put in my 2cp about it.. .. it leaves me speachless.. VERY NICE WORK!! Thanks for your wonderful macro.. now all I gotta do is find a place that someone ISNT using it to level up LOL..

Error

Post by RDPidb » Mon Mar 08, 2004 8:51 am

Im also getting the "Ending macro: Calculate encountered unparsable text"
when I run the macro.

I am thinking its when the MOB happens to die when the macro is in the Circ sub and the timing just happens to be that it dies after one of the /if $target != 0 type lines of code, and then trys to calculate some value in that sub somwhere with a NULL value when it doesnt expect one.

maybe.

Has anyone figured this out yet ?
