Just as usual I downloaded the latest zip, only to find out - bleh...a nice readme file...

Yes I should've RTFM and *not* overwrite it, shame on me :(

So with my fault publicly admitted flaming me for it is pointless. I know I fucked up.

So my question - is there *any* way at all to get the latest zip again, perhaps I could pm someone an email adress? Please?

A desperate player...

Edit: I should've posted under the MQ2:Help section...can it get any worse? :(

I am a bit confused. I downloaded the MQ source before the GoD expansion, and it worked fine. Then GoD broke it of course. So I came here to find an update, and one was posted on the 17th - a week after the god expansion patch. However, I still get an "Incorrect client version" error. Is there something else I have to do in addition to recompiling the source and replacing my old files?

They patched eqgame.exe yet again, which borke MQ - again.
It is now fully functional again, so just go grab the latest zip.

Here is the answer to all of your questions that will work on ANY of the year!

1. Go to the MQ download page on our website.
2. Download MQ2-Latest.zip
3. Open MQ2-Latest.zip ( notice the word "open", not "extract"..jeez)
4. If you see only one file in there ...READ IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4a. STOP -- COME BACK LATER BECAUSE MQ2 IS BORKED!

5. If you see a bunch of files that look like source code, extract it and compile.

How could it possibly be any easier? I refuse to change my mode of operation and method of organization simply because we have a bunch of impatient people. If the zip doesn't have source code in it, it's because MQ2 is broken. That means (and you'd think this would be obvious) that you need to WAIT and COME BACK LATER.
