1) extract them to a different directry from eq
2) if your getting the client version error your eqgame.ini more then likey not the recent one, ther's a direct link to it off the main macroquest site.
One for the Road guys, what's the worst that could happen......

LOADING, PLEASE WAIT ....

Same here

Downloaded the program

Downloaded the 20020814 eqgame.ini (offset file)

Still have the bad client version message

But EQ has been patched since 0814 maybe offsets are not good anymore ?

No, because a number of us (myself included) are using MQ just fine with the current offsets... *shrug* I'm going to go ahead and assume you put the eqgame.ini file into the correct directory (your MQ-20020726 directory) and that that -isn't- in your EQ directory... *shrug* Maybe some people / installations are just cursed? Heh...

Not cursed at all, ppl are just using the wrong versions.

Make sure you have the 726 version cause the 706 version doesn't work. Get the 814 offsets, and change clientoverride=1 and not 0.

Lizard!! MQ needs a FAQ that's required reading on the boards. Then we can yell at noobs properly. I can't tell you how many ppl have asked this same damn question. It's getting old. Next person that has this problem I'm gonna not be so nice since it's posted in like half the threads how to fix this problem.

Magnus-
Part of the problem is on the main page there is a 'downloads' link in the navbar... and on the downloads page, it has a link to download 20020706, not 20020726.....
