Bard 1-4 song twist. Lag friendly?

Post by Brujaha » Wed Dec 10, 2003 11:05 am

I've tried using several macros already out there. They all seem to have issues when there is lag. Possible to make one that waits before casting the next song for the buff to show up, or maybe the chat to display?

Any insight is appreciated.

Depending on the macro you are using just bump the cast timer up a few more. Most are around 33 (3.3 seconds). If need be just make it like 3.5 and see if it works.

I will probably mess around with doing what you were talking about though. I'm bored. :)

The whole problem with doing it the way you were talking about is the fact that you have tons of different messages.

My guess is we'd have to evaluate what spell is in spell gem slot x. Then have a small routine that checks to see if that particular song adds to the short duration buff box (most beneficial songs), long duration buff box (49 selos is the only thing that comes to mind) or no buff box entry (DoT's etc.).

Sounds like a pain. I have this problem even when twisting manually. Plane of water or when you get 100 + in a zone like fire or earth.

I'll try playing with the cast timer. Thanks!

I went ahead and made a (hopfully :D ) lag sensitive version of twist.mac. I'm posting it in the twist.mac post in the depot.
