Further development?

Post by Amadeus » Sat Aug 24, 2002 8:19 pm

I remember that the head developer of MacroQuest was going to be away for a while. However, I was just wondering if someone could just give us a general outline of what might be happening behind the scenes right now as far as development goes.

No pressure, no complaints ...just curiousity :)

Salutations,
well. Plazmic (the main dev as I think you called him) was SUPPOSED to be back the 15th, but his DSL was delayed so (hopefully) he should be back the 27th. He is on IRC sometimes as well as on the boards (if you see him, PM him to death! j/k) but i think that until then it will mostly be offset releases (if need be)

I suppose I was just curious if he thought that MacroQuest with the NewUI was going to be a possibility, or if it looked to be weeks/months/never to overcome the difficulties?

I'm just curious I suppose :)

As far as I understand/guess.

NewUI crashing fixes will probably be first priorty

There is a "console" MQ feature that is being considered/fixed right now.

NewUI clicking is probably on the list, but wont be fixed above the previous too..

Im sure if you have any suggestions, Plazmic will be glad to hear them; just post em here...
