Movement key Mapping through Telnet

Post by dunce » Thu Nov 20, 2003 4:05 pm

How difficult would it be to somehow map your movement keys through the Telnet server.
There are occations where I may monitor my char from work and would like to provide a way to change location or move about (blindly).

I'm not a programer but if someone could give some clues on how this could work, I might be able to figure it out.

Even if it was a macro that just sent the movement commands.

Thanks in advance for any clue how to get this done.

If this is stupid, then just say so. :)

Easiest way is to change your keymap inside EQ's options window. You can have 2 keys (or chords) defined for each function. For example, I use a trackball for steering in my right hand, so I use W for forward and S for backwards.

You could send W or S through telnet and that would move me forward or backwards.
