EQIM tell with current skill :)

Post by Serpent » Wed Nov 19, 2003 9:03 am

I just started to use MQ mainly to fish and I have 2 beginner questions..

1) Is it possible to send a tell to EQIM in a macro, I noticed to send a tell to a player was just to type /tell Player blah blah but since EQIM tells start with ; instead of / I dont know what to do (ex. ;tell Player blah blah).

2) If I, for example in a fishing macro, would like it to send my EQIM char a tell every time I get a skillup in fishing with current skill.. like ;tell Player you got better at fishing (129), what do I add for that to work? If even possible...

WOuld be happy for any help I can get.

Thanks :D

Why dont you just telnet your MQ from wherever you are, instead of using EQIM ?

I don't think that serverwide tells are being hooked as an event. I know that using channel 1 HAS to be /1 and NOT ;1.

Not sure if it's the same with ;tell and /tell

in_training, you're wrong there, you can use ;1 for channel /1 and ;tell works for EQIM and people who are on the server with you, doesnt matter either way

but, as far as the original poster, if you put a simple ;tell user your skill is ****

then it should work
