FEAT REQ: Maps for ALL EQ zones

Post by pawnw » Thu Nov 13, 2003 4:09 am

Hi guys,

I am newly elemental flagged, and very frustrated with having to use "offline" paper maps for navigation in elemental zones. When I bring up my map I get "Map not available for this zone"...

I have considered bringing up my old Linux box for SEQ...but the deskspace would make it a huge pain.

Is there anyway we can get around that message and just display a map if its available in the MAPS directory, no matter what zone we are in???

Any help appreciated.

only reasonable way to do it would be to use an offset hack, and the devs have said multiple times they arent doing that to the public release of MQ. Though it would be nice =)

It's not going to be added, sorry. The policy here is to not add blatant offset hacks, no matter how small, to the program.

Unlike SOE, we do try to stick to the original developer's "vision"....

Although its not going to be publicly added, I've read on the boards that its not so hard to do. Unfortunatly I do not know how, others have mentioned that it can be done. A PM would be nice though = )

It's a binary flag, not too hard to find.
