unable to locate macroq~dsw and dsp errors ..

OK like a few days ago I lost my profiles on my computer .. Well I went to compile the lates zip and to my surprise i got those errors when i went to compile upon clicking on macroq~1dsw file and the dsp file as well .

Anyway I Deleted MQ completely and re installed the zip and re compiled it.. Upon doin so i got the same pronblem says macroq~dsw and Dsp prog are required and then ask me to locate them ,,I point them to the Macroquest folder and then get the error that they arent valid win32 files WTF lol .. Any way any help would be awesome ..

Some of the files coming out of the zip lately aren't formated correctly, open the file with wordpad, and then resave as text. Should fix the problem.

Tried that and it didnt work. THink im better off jsut waitin till bugs are worked ?? IF Build it manually the only problem i have is the Incorrect client wich is pretty common after the patches .. For some reason I keep thinkin that when i lost my profiles on my puter It screwed somethin up w/ VB etc .. I hate verrant and their godamn patches BTW =D .. Thanks for the suggestion Gid

Well for one you're not using VB. You're using VC++. 2nd you would be better off getting CVS setup so that you can pull the latest version when it's available since the zip may not always be updated in a timely fashion. No offense to you DKAA...:)

LOL ... DKAA's fixes usually beat out the CVS server publishing to the anon-CVS

I do have CVS but i cant login into it for some reason for quite some time .. I was under the impression that we are no longer gettin the source from CVS anymore .. Unless im wrong but heres how im tryin to get into CVS ..

4. When it starts open Admin -> preferences and on the General tab paste in: Code:
anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/macroquest

in the 'Enter the CVSROOT' field

5. In the Authentication field choose the '"passwd" file on the cvs server' option
6. Now click on the Globals tab and check the box at the bottom which says: 'Checkout textfiles with the UNIX LX (0xa)'
7. Click ok
8. Goto menu Admin -> Login and when it asks for a password just press enter
9. Goto menu Admin -> Command Line... and paste in Code:
cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/macroquest co macroquest
and press Enter
9. the source will now be downloaded to you computer...

Usin those steps I havnt been able to get into CVS for like a month or better ..

Does it give an error message?

Also you may have to try several times in a row to actually get it to work. Sourceforge's general CVS sucks ass.

OK now thats wierd it finally worked after yer post i tried it again and it worked .. lol int he past ive tried logging in about 10 tiomes ina row ahhaha .. Any way thanks man I wouldnt have tried again if ya didnt post

I reinstalled VB 6.0 thinkin that it was jsut screwed up .. When i click on the DSW file it still wont open in C++ I et teh error that its not a valid win32 app. I tried savin it as text etc I dont know WTF is up lol

I to have run across a few errors with the irc zip in the last few weeks. For the mostpart tho VS.NET 2003 will prompt when opening the solution that it is not properly formatted and will attempt to correct. I have yet to encounter any issues after VS fixes it and I am not really sure what was fixed as it doesnt say the file names.
