Same problem here also, clean download of irc-latest.zip and used vs.net to compile. Says mq is active, but no commands work in game.

FIXED for me!

insanitywiz, you nailed it for me:
1) Move/rename your old source directory.
2) Download a clean copy of the source (Zip worked with the last person that got fixed)
3) (For .NET) make sure you are opening macroquest.sln rather then the .dsp
When I did this, I got 3 builds successful, whereas I usually only have 2. It was your 3rd point that made the difference since I always do the first 2.

Now everything I've tested works for me. Thanks for your help!

Thank GrimJack, who pointed it out in IRC, all I did was post it here. Glad you are up and running though.

Compiling the .sln file was the fix for myself as well. This was the first build I compiled myself(I was supplied the last build by a friend) and everything I read in the forums was talking about compiling the .dsw file. Now I am taking the slow process of learning how to code macros and get the macros I want coded and/or converted.

Don't Forget...

After you unzip the file, don't forget to make sure it is not hidden, archived,or read-only.

Delete and recompile worked for me...gave 3 builds instead of 2

Thanks to all who helped
