October 9, 2003 3:00 am patchmessage wrote: Find Feature added. This will create a mystical indication of the path to take to find certain people. This feature works in the Bazaar and in newbie zones and cities. In the Bazaar you just click on the merchant you seek in the Bazaar window and click the Find Trader button. For all other uses, just hit CTRL+F to open the window, select someone on the list and click the Find button. This will locate any Bazaar trader or any NPC with an alternate name, such as (Spell Vendor). The exception is that it will not locate NPCs in the Wayfarer's Camps.
if this is what I think it is... /walkto <y> <x> <z> just became an item on my todo list ;)

I'm curious how they will add it ... will it be like /mapfilter target ... or will it be like the blue-line on the compas when you are heading to an LDoN adventure zone after taking an adventure.

I kinda doubt they would mini-port ... they get enough issues dealing with people offset hacking and jumping through entire zones in 2s to do something like that.

Once again they steal ideas from us. How long do you think it will be before Tracking is integrated with the map? Plaz has already shown them how to do it....

Not sure how they would add tracking. They'd definitely need to tie it in with the existing tracking filters (PC/NPC/LEVEL) ... and range limit it based on tracking skill. They'd run in to the same problem we have though w/ mass quanities of text lables slowing down the game. Also, how long would the mobs stay on the map?

They'll figure it out. After all they have the real source code, we are reverse engineering.

Do you have your compas window on? Try watching that and turning in a circle. If it is the way I suspect, there will be a heading line on the compas. I won't get to check it out until tonight though :( Damn work.

It's a visual line you can see and follow, not on the compas and or map. It work a bit on test, but had a lot of problems.

It looks like a struct change, as the new offsets aren't working correctly :(

The files needed were just added to the patcher, so find works now. All it does is make a glowing line/mass between you and your destination. It seems to avoid water/walls/etc nicely though :)
