Thoughts on the map change

Post by Plazmic » Sat Sep 20, 2003 2:37 am

I want feedback ;)
Good, great, awesome?
Will cause VI to get pissed at us?
Ideas to improve it? (direction vectors on way to CVS)
Ideas on other parts of the UI that become more useful?

You Rock Sir.

Really though, its awesome, would love to see a click here and walk here type deal, and some programmable paths, but thats all just for flash, hehe. Thanks again to Plazmic for conjuring up another wonderful addition to MQ IMO!

It's naive to assume they'd let something of this proportion just slide right by.

I can think of at least one quick way for them to solve this problem without much effort (in its current form anyway.) But I'm sure you probably considered the "possibles" already.

Some issues though...

1) Is it possible to draw spawn spots and labels a different color (possibly defineable by the user?)
2) /target via clicking on a spot would be awesome =P Not sure if this is manageable though just by using the UI.

Regardless, great work. I love it!

It's working great Plazmic! A definite help in many situations.

I was pleasantly surprised how well it works!

Absolutely love it!

An addition I may make to mine is that the labels are colored based on the con level. It shouldn't be too difficult based on what I've seen of your addLabel work.

I believe that SEQ uses the "radius" thing to draw labels on monsters. That may be a good addition, such that labels for monsters can just be drawn when they are inside the radius circle.

If I were VI... I would impliment this and give it to trackers... but thats just me.

I love it Plaz, incredibly useful.

Now if I could only figure out how to change the color of my arrow on the map... black is really hard to read.

I must agree, this is a huge improvement, almost to the point where I don't want to use MySEQ anymore.
Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one, but most of them stink.

mad dash

Post by FirebornX » Mon Sep 22, 2003 12:54 am

Incredible, I used this to dash all the way across pon and I didn't aggro a single mob. Much better than SEQ, keep improving upon this... it makes life a hell of a lot easier when you're trying to find someone on the far side of a dangerous zone.
It would be sweet to click a mob on the map and target it.

Nice :)

A few suggestions:

/filter group
- Show groupmembers location(preferably in some different color than the standard grey)

/filter names x
- Only show names for mobs within radius x, rest just as a dot(or not at all, depending whats easiest to code)

Also configurable color coding would be nice, so you can tell by a glance which mobs are highlevel(red) etc.

"Plz" do a search on the subject. It's been adequately explained multiple times. And "plz" learn to spell "please".
