NEWS: EQ now has a "Story" Window.

I was fumbling around the keyboard last night when I hit CTRL-N I think it was, and up poped a new window called "Story somethinganother". Has anyone seen this or know anything about it? From what it looks like to me is that you can now get items that have some sort of story behind them and maybe some form of quests that relate to them in an ongoing story.

pressed every CTRL+ whatever key its not there

Out of curiousity what zone were you in? I've never seen CTRL-N work... I actually changed the command and still no-go. Curious if this is zone-specific, or if you've triggered some flags in PoP that I haven't.... anyhow. Yeah, curious.

ALT-N works in the bazaar for a level 7 wizzy trader toon I have, furthest into PoP as he's been is.... wait, he's never even used a PoK book. *shrug* must have nothing to do with PoP.

Shrug, works on all my toons even lvl 5 and as far as I can tell in every zone. Checked again and it is CTRL-N and its called "Story Window". Has a check box at the bottom to open the story window when new items are found or not. I have not yet found any items however. Maybe I am bugged somehow and shouldn't have access to it yet? but works for me...

Make sure to update your includes in EQUI.xml if you're using a custom UI. Windows not defined there will not show up.

(pretty self explanitory, just open both in notepad and do a quick dif)

You could always just replace your custom UI EQUI.xml with the one from default (or in that case, remove it so it auto uses default), but some UI's disable windows who's functionality has been recreated in another. (ie cast bar in target, remove castbar window)

I,as a shaman,love the story window lol,shamanscrucible has a real nice lil file ya can put in your storyline folder(is a slowing guide,ya click on what continent or tier the zone is,then it opens into a list of mobs -which mobs u can slow,which slow to use)very useful on raids that youre new to.
I`m sure other classes can find use like this,sorta like a second notes window.Just a lil thing for ya shamans or raid leaders out there hehe 8)

sorta,thats the journal window though,theres a separate storyline window (just has the recent stories,usually about that barb rogue adventuring)
and i think its alt-N,not crtl- N
