Telnet problem

Post by Arangar » Tue Aug 26, 2003 4:05 pm

Ok, n00b question.

Downloaded MacroQuest today, compiled it started it....crashed.....downloaded new offesets.....starts up.

Can't do much since patch (picked bad day to start using MQ I guess :P)....so decided to make sure telnet was working....enabled it, changed the welcome message and the password....start up MQ and EQ.

Connects to localhost default port (using Telnet and Hyperterminal on WinXP prof)...gets the welcome message and the password prompt....starts typing the password, and suddenly...poof disconnected, typically when I type the second character of the password, but sometimes when I type the first.

Anyone got a pointer of what I'm doing wrong?

Major struct changes are causing many functions to fail. Please be patient while these are worked on.
MQ2: Think of it as Evolution in action.

*hmms* but I can enter some MQ commands fine from EQ, is it really likely that Telnet would be brooken by struct changes in EQ?

Anyways, if someone sees the same problem let me know so I know it isnt just my machine ;) Since I never had MQ working, I'm not totally convinced of my config ;)
