Question pertaining to /doevents

Post by Azum » Wed Aug 06, 2003 7:34 pm

I've read the documentation, and perused various macros, and see /doevents used quite a bit. I'm still unsure what exactly it does though, would someone be so kind as to explain it?

I was under the impression that if you defined an event, that the sub_event was automatically invoked when the defined "text" (#event SpellFizzles "Your spell fizzles!") shows up in your chatbox.

To the best of my undersanding,

Lets say you declared and event for fizzles on your macro, and running it you fizzle that line goes into a buffer. MQ won't go to the Sube event routine till you do call to /doevents to check the buffer.

Hope that helps
