bumpity cause i added smart taunting which makes the bot get you even more chicks than it did before. also fixed a lot of possible "could not find a comparison in 'a'" type errors (could be a, an, the or what ever).

I love this macro, so Im gonna check if there is an easy way to check if a mob is mezzed, maybe its flagged somehow... putting it on the ToDO list.

Obviously i know NOTHING about what is in memory, but i would guess that what is mezed is stored server side rather than client side.

I actually use my bot mainly in groups or personal groups (4 chars i have, so i am my own group!) so the war is pretty much always on the right target. its easier on me if he doesn't switch all around and i merely work around him by mezing what ever i did NOT sic him on.

The problem with reacting to mobs being mezed is two or three fold. 1, if the mob you are hitting is mezed there is almost no way we can turn off /attack quick enough to NOT break the mez. 2, (and this is only so far) if something around with the same name is mezed our bot could stop attacking and this could be annoying (it was when i had it watching for mezes). 3, erm... reasons always look better if there are 3 :)

well I just did a quest the other day and while running around in Firona Vie, I got attacked by like a million things... I had my pet up, so he took care of it, I mean they are all green to me, but hit in the 60's range, but I had a lowbie with me, so I didnt want her to die, thus... I mezzed them all, except 1 and let the pet take care of them 1 by one... now, they all have the same or similar name, "Froglok Nok Shaman" Nok warrior, shin warrior shin knight and so on, and there where like 20 of them mezzed and rdy to be taken care of...

Ok, my pet says "I cant wake him up" (or whatever it is they say)

now Im thinking that if the pet need to send a servercheck everytime he needs mezinfo, the trafic in such an encounter will be pretty cumbersome... so maybe there is a local flag kept? like Hide and Invis and sneak and so on, they are stored locally...

Anyway I dont know, just a theory I have to work with, lets see if I can confirm it.

This is my prefered macro actually, tnx alot for work on it.

Wishlist:
A routine for switch weapons (maynly for avatar proc) automatic if possible but will be nice to have some options, like ON/OFF or option to finde a weapon and equipe it.

A command to 180° a mob /tell bot 180 and it run up few step after the mob and turn 180 and keep fight

Ability to pull with bow (or optional a click item)

I know i'm not at the restourant and i can't order this or that, but i try to trow in some idea, based on mine playing experiences and i hope you finde them usefull too.

Tnx again for working on this script, is amazing me every time i run it (everyday)

Ok, and where exactly do you think your pet is controlled? NOT by your client... you may have a spawninfo for your pet in memory, but your client doesn't control your pet. pet is an NPC.

Pulling with an item or bow should be pretty easy to add. I wanted to add that, but rarely have my bow equiped. I would probably add a variable for the "item" to be pressed (so you can use arrow or put a right click item there), the range and perhaps a number of clicks. a few arrows are sometimes needed.

The weapon swapping I don't have a clue how I would do, but I understand the desire. It shouldn't be to hard to do it on the fly, but I think the triggers may be customized to much. Also, i don't have any prismatic or umm whats it called to test with.

I have been thinking about looking into a way to keep the guy fighting in the same area. Right now, a couple of the weapons I use move mobs around quite a bit, would be nice if he didn't push it accross the room. Currently I have him up on the puter beside me and just circle him around using ctrl-left/right key.

I am always open to ideas, the more useful to ME the more likely i am to implement them :) if you happen to make changes or tweaks, please post them so i can evaluate and incorporate them :)

Code: Select all

|# Turn the mob 180°.
      /if "$arg(1,"$p2")"=="180" {
            /sendkey down right
            /delay 2
            /sendkey up right
            /sendkey down up
            /delay 5
            /sendkey down left
            /delay 3
            /sendkey up left
            /sendkey up up
      }
this is how i added the 180 turn to mine macro, seen to work well for me with those timers but i'm sure you need to tune them for your need.

it may be more accurate to figure out your heading, figure out the distance to mob... run double the current distance to mob (past mob) and then turn 180 degress (or the reciprical of your former heading). this would be far more accurate AND put you approx where you were but on the other side.

yup, reading your macro i figured you a wery accurate man, every think have a check and can't fail, while mine workaround is wery simple and inaccurate and can make you end up lost somewhere in the dungeon.
Btw to much math make me wanna cry, sorry, i don't think i have the skill to do what you sad even if i can undestand what you mean.

bump cause i added an "offtank" command and corrected a couple of missing " " things that caused me to crash when I did something that I can't remember. Also, I need to test enraged mobs... but none of the stuff i fight right now enrages! Any lower level mobs that enrage? something a 63 war can handle with just a 63 cleric to heal.

You sir, have much talent. This is one of, if not the best macro I've ever used. Any chance it could be customized a bit for a monk? I've been trying to do just that myself, but alas I just don't understand all this sh!t well enough to do much yet.

Actually, I have wanted to add in the ability to set the class to any of the non-spell casting, pure melee. I think that is Rog and Monk only, correct? It is fairly warrior-centric, but changing the "doability" portion for like taunt or bash or something to one of your kick attacks would do it. Adding a check to do a mend would be nice.

If you can outline and describe in VERY good detail how a monk would behave and how you would want it to behave it may be possible for me to add code that you can test for me.

Part of what I think makes my war script good is that I know how the class is and should be played fairly well. I ain't never played no monk or rog :)

I doubt i could make an auto-FD split puller, but I also doubt you are after that. A simple melee, circling to the back, fd when you get hit, mend when you are < 70% and use your special abilities shoudl not be to difficulat. The same fight behind the mob code could also easily be used on the rog :)

Wish I could pick up a rog or monk easy to test and give my gf a pure melee to control :)

Yeah, you have the right idea. I have already added mend and changed kick to flying kick/epic. Mend isn't quite as intelligent as I'd like it to be, but it gets the job done. The main thing I had in mind was perhaps an evade setting, where the monk would automatically FD aggro off in certain situations (when you don't want the monk tanking) or at low health.

using mend at a certain health should be easy, adding something like "/if n $char(health,pct)<=70 /doability "mend" would accomplish it.

a simple hits you event would do the fd when hit thing.

Could you post some more specific monkly things? Like for instance you mentioned your monk epic, which i know nothing about. Is each new monk "kick" or "punch" or what ever better than the last? or are there a certain 3 or 4 that are the best?
