Pull it, kill it, and repeat

Post by Random » Mon Jul 21, 2003 5:59 pm

Yo.

There appear to be lots of "find it and beat/nuke it to death" macros and while this works great if you're farming low level tradeskill items or if you're hunting in a zone with little risk of multiples, I spend a lot of time doing camps, where running over and hitting something and trying to kill it where it spawned usually means you're going to get adds, and probably die.

I'm looking for a macro that is based specifically for camping things in a group close to your level. For example, in Dulak harbor there are a series of boats people usually camp. Pulling on them would more than likely not require a path.

Basically what I'm looking for is a macro paladin pull-bot that will set up a "camp" which it will find mobs, pull them with a stun spell (when in casting range) and bring them back to camp, not engaging until they reach the camp spot. Once it dies to repeat the cycle. If lower than 40% health to heal self, if low on mana or told to stop pulling to head back to camp, sit and med until either told to pull again or until 40% mana. If his buffs fade, to recast them on himself.

i hope you wear flame retardent underwear

generally speaking you will get kille dfor asking anything like this on these forums because its viewed as an afk macro, which most of the people on these boards detest.

on a lighter note, just look aroudn trough some of the code we have in the macro depot and change the mob names and pu tthe whoel thing in a bigger loop and you have exactly what your looking for.

ps. DL is the best place for that imo

Dunno.. I use a script, that does almost exactly what he wants, and is not AFK script at all. Is my "I'm eating pizza" script :-)

LOL. If I am camping a boring camp IE: Dreadlands..no need to hit my kick and taint buttons for the next 6 hours...my wrist will hate me!

Just disable the runcode in the "walk to and slay" macros, add in a
|if target is less than 200m away
/if n $target(distance)<200 /cast "pullspell"

If you wanted to get more complicated you could use the autowalk feature on most hunt and destroy macros, but make it stop at 200 distance range and cast, instead of walking up to melee range <shrugs>
