Feature Request MQ2Radar

Post by Gnits » Wed Jun 22, 2016 9:30 pm

This is worth real donation money for me.

I had to revert to old MQ2EQDraw code because the new version broke mq2radar.

I would be willing to pay for the version to be updated to work with the new code but pay twice as much to have the feature without having to load the old version of DSurface

If you are willing, EQMule, send me PM with what would make it worth your while.

I'm not familiar with mq2radar or what it does, can you explain what the feature is?

From what I remember its a nicer/cleaner version of the map that draws directly to the HUD.

Would be cool to see a screenshot of what it's supposed to do, sounds appealing if it looks good.

MQ2Radar

This plugin displays a radar onscreen like many other games (except for EQ) do. Radar is a circle where you can see all the spawns within a given view radius, well I'm sure once you see it you will understand. So just do /plugin mq2radar and see for yourself.

I never got it working because of the dependencies. And I was probably still using the original linux ShowEQ back when it was released

One of the nice things about MQ2Radar was that it rotated so that as you moved forward the map in the overlay always showed the way ahead.

Around the circumference was a compass so the four directions rotated as your perspective stayed pointing up.
