Telnet not working with latest CVS.

Compiled latest CVS, telnet worked fine before (Putty), now it just hangs and does nothing when I try to connect. Deleted, reinstalled old version, worked fine. Deleted, reinstalled latest CVS, no telnet (yes its enabled) functionality. How can I fix this?

I am having that same problem on one computer. Though telnet works on the other computer...

Hmm, strange.. What I did was reset MacroQuest.ini FilterMacro=0 I had it set to 2 before. Try setting all of these to 0 if they aren't.

I was getting the same problem you were with the telnet client before I did this...

I have a 98 box and an XP box. Seems the telnet problem with the login box never appearing is 98 specific. Works fine on the XP box. Also, only the XP machine crashes when doing a /finditem on horseback, 98 doesn't. These machines are running the same compiled version of MQ also. Odd eh?

Maybe some could look into it if you find the time or inclination.

Actually I can see the possibility of functions crashing under one OS and not another, even if both of them are versions of Windows. Slightly different instruction sets, drivers, DirectX, etc. There are bound to be problems since we don't have the MQ code checking for OS version and making adjustments based on it.
