Question about telnet server and chat stuff.

Is it possible to set it so all macroquest output ONLY shows on the telnet server? I ask because I don't want to run the risk of getting detected by a GM. Colour me paranoid :) I've seen some allusions to this in a few posts(the one where McKorr removed telnet from his personal build) but no details on how to do it.
