Can EQ and MQ run on this computer? (Newbie Question)

Post by MonteCarlo » Sat Nov 19, 2011 11:07 am

To start with, I am just an average player with little hardware and no software or programming knowledge . I rely on the experts to provide that.

I am currently playing on an Eon 17-S laptop with a single 2GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580M graphics card, Intel Extreme Edition Core i7-2960XM Quad-Core Processor with 8MB Cache runing at 2.70GHz, 16GB Dual-Channel DDR3 SDRAM, and two 256 GB Crucial M4 hard drives in raid configuration. Operating system is MS Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit Edition. I was told that this would be acceptable to play EQ and run another program in the background. Maybe they told me wrong? Do I need to buy a better computer so I can play EQ and MQ at the same time?

I keep crashing since VoA started. Load my character, try to zone to guild lobby, crash. Relog, same thing when MQ is running. Without MQ all is fine. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong please?

Thank you for taking the time to answer.

If you look around on the boards you will see that MQ is still bugged to say the least. Give the devs more time, or if you really want to help load up MQ and debug your crashes and post them in the appropriate forums.

The computer is more than enough to run MQ once all the kinks are worked out, but it takes the devs some time.
