Hey I have a quick question myself regarding downloading the source.
I honestly dont quite understand what i have to do? Do i have to find some sorta command line program that connects to a server (much like SEQ did in Linux?) or is there another way to do this? I really dont quite grasp where im supposed to go here lol sorry.
Second question is, Where exactly is the "project" file for Macroquest? I have an older copy of the source for macroquest which I was going to try practicing on, but I honestly dont have the slightest Idea how to start. I tried opening a few of the files into VC++6 (a part of VS6) and it says I need to "attach" it to a project. But i dont know if im supposed to CREATE a project or if the macroquest source has a project somewhere already in it?
Ack, I'm thoroughly confused

Its a lot more difficult to me than i figured it would be

Normally I grasp this stuff fairly quickly but not this time lol.
Hmm..I also used the search function on the boards to find a mini tutorial about how to compile it, and there are some great ones! except I dont even know how to OPEN the source files and use them? Do i open them all together? do i open them seperately and create a project? is there a project file i have to open?
I dunno if these are legitimate questions but I thought i'd ask anyway, that or if someone CAN post or hint (using keywords) what to look for to find a relatively basic tutorial on how to just get the project compiling started, that'd be great also!
One last question I guess. Would compiling MQ be just the same as compiling any other project using VC6? As in, if i just found a tutorial on google about how to start/compile a project, would learning that be helpful in learning how to compile MQ?
Thanks all for your help in advance!! Hopefully someone reads this old post
Take it easy
