all that is needed to get krust working is this:
edit UIfiles\krust\EQUI.xml
add the following line:
Code: Select all
<Include>EQUI_ClaimWnd.xml</Include>
right after
Code: Select all
<Include>EQUI_TCGStartupWnd.xml</Include>
almost at the very end of the file
but they made some changes that mades loot window & map window change sizes too

OK, I changed monitors and this started. The map is now transparent. I can see names and npcs but i can zoom anymore and there is no backround. I can not right click on a mob or player and have it targeted (though i can still /tar). The target lines and rings still appear but I can not manually do it and all the buttons are gone from the right hand side. What is really bizarre is that a different toon on this computer, without Krust, the map shows up fine in default UI. When i swap out of Krust to default UI on the toon i use Krust on, the map is still transparent and unuseable. I even tried deleting it and patching it back in. No change. Any suggestions?

When in doubt... recompile. Or just wait for a response. I would recompile just to be safe.

just charge me the stupid fee. the new monitor and res setting whacked my windows set up. finally got a mouse on the edge of what i could see and dragged the map backround open. wierd that the players/npcs were visible without the backround but... anyway it is fine now.

I don't have that second line in the EQUI.xml file in the Krust directory
Code: Select all
<Include>EQUI_TCGStartupWnd.xml</Include>
... and is the link in the first post actually the latest version?

dont worry the EQUI_TCGStartupWnd.xml gets loaded from the "default" ui directory, it just needs to be included or else the EQ UI will crash because it expects some ui elements to be there which is not (lazy eq coders).
and i dunno about what is last version actually, theres no "official" one anymore i think. see last few pages of this thread

I haven't been able to get my copy of Krust up and running again since the latest patches that messed with it. Does anybody have a copy that they could post, or PM me and I can send you my e-mail address.

HERE IS WORKING UI
http://nofuture.se/krust/svn/
i keep my own version of the krust ui up and working since i am playing.
and i already kept it in subversion. so i made a script that uploads a new checkout to the above url if i check in changes to the subversion repository.
that way u should be able to find updated krust ui files on the above url until i quit play. btw its not my own website so please be gentle
it is a bit different from the older one maintained by Harden:
* the krust friend-window mod is removed
* another map window
* another player window
* clickies are probably arranged differently than you are used to in hotbuttonwnd
if u have any feedback plz post

Yeah, thanks so much for that gimp. I was able to almost completely recover the version of Krust that I'd been using before by piecing it together with the one you posted. The only question I have is if you know of any way to recover the old player window. I kind of liked it better, but if I copy that file over from an older version of Krust, it causes my UI to revert to the default.

Code: Select all
/declare "item" failed. Name already in use
Seeing that when you try and run Mac.Krust?
MQ2 recently decided they wanted that word, so we have to find a new one. here is what i did, and it seems to work fine.
In your gimp _clickies.inc file thare are several (approx. 248) instances where you will need to find and replace the word "item" with "Item". I just changed the caps; search and replace worked well for me
