Between EQBC and MQ2Melee, nearly all of the same functionality that Genbot provided can be given with those 2 plugins and the right hotkeys. I stopped using it long ago because of that.

this is my first time trying to use genbot, and i loaded all the .inc files on the 1st page of this post, and i go into game and type /mac genbot ToonName it says could nt open include file (loc of MQ) "MQ2Plugin.h"
i did a search on the forums for "MQ2Plugin.h" and came up empty handed. I'm not too bright when it comes to MQ and always nervous to post on these boards due to constant flaming on anyones question over anything so, i guess i'll just brace myself.

Having something that says it is looking for MQ2Plugin.h kind of sounds like you didn't get everything compiled.
Reading . . . it's not just for me.

Haven't read all 17 pages, maybe someone else has already posted something like this but, I find this version of chain nuke works much better:
Code: Select all
Sub Command-chainnuke
/if (${ChainNuke.Equal[${ChainNuke-DefaultValue}]}) /return
/declare NukeNum int local 1
/call StandardTarget "${CommandParam}"
/call ChatOut 5 "Chain nuking ${Target.CleanName}."
/stand
:ChainNukeLoop
/if (!${Target.ID}) {
/call ChatOut 5 "Chain nuking complete."
/if (${Toggle-sitaftercast}) {
/stopcast
/varset SitTimer ${DelayBeforeSit}
}
/return
}
/if (${Me.SpellReady[${Me.Gem[${ChainNuke.Arg[${NukeNum},|]}]}]}) {
/cast "${ChainNuke.Arg[${NukeNum},|]}"
}
/varcalc NukeNum ${NukeNum}+1
/if (!${ChainNuke.Arg[${NukeNum},|].Length}) /varset NukeNum 1
/goto :ChainNukeLoop
/return
* Doesn't spam casting when it won't work.
* Stands and sits.
* Reports what it's doing like regular single casts.

You found a better way to do things than what was done over a year and a half ago? NO WAY!

Yes indeed, forgive me for the mortal sin of sharing and help me others. I have truly done wrong!
On a more serious note, if you don't have anything nice to say ...

Thanks for sharing arantius. Better to update and let others see and learn then to procrastinate.

GenBot is before my MQ time.. but I know there were several fans on the forums who were very attached to it before moving on to ModBot and AutoBot. (Hey dkaa, still glad you got me to switch? HA!)
Its nice to see the old girl dusted off and revisited. Don't let these party poopers rain on your parade. Just give them their Mountain Dew and they'll wander off happy sooner or later.

'sniff
It brings a tear to my eye to know that GenBot is actually still getting some use. I'm actually a bit surprised that it still works at all. I've updated the first page with your command-chainnuke.

I'm not a huge fan of autobot because it requires either IRC plugins or emulation - so would anyone mind helping me figure out why genbot bots repond to commands in group but not in channels?
