Got a new comp with windows vista pre-installed everything works fine even have mq2 loaded on the tray but when i load the game up MQ2 in game window isn't there i can also do the vice versa and load game first then load MQ2 and the same problem occurs. Any help is welcome.

i think i did it right but its my first time so not entirely sure if you want to edit it to make it better please do or let me know what to change id be more than happy to fix it.

Can you do basic MQ2 commands while in game, like "/face npc"? Could be that your macroquest.ini is missing all the default plugins you need.

no cannot do any commands, macroquest2 is running in the background but it has no effect in game at all. I ve used 3 different compiles one was a basic one i did myself works on different pc with windows xp, and 2 other precompiles that also work on the other pc but none of them work on the new one with vista

Are you running MQ2 as "admin" user ? That seems to be a common issue with vista. i.e. you need to be admin level.

thats it administration level required used windows compatability mode to find out i thought since there was only one profile on the computer that it was the administrator i was wrong tho

=D BONK =D Im a idiot sorry people :) Its the first patch i went threw with MQ2 so wasnt 100% sure on what had to happen

Does it matter if you compile on windows xp and then try to use it on windows vista? Even if you did the whole adding to the auth file.

Wouldn't think so. I added her auth lines into mine. Compiled it and then moved the realease folder to her computer and it just will not work.
