Uninstall and delete everything you've done so far and follow the directions precisely. How much simpler do we have to make it?

It's true that searching the forum is almost useless. However, compiling the solution is a pretty simple task if you follow the instructions carefully.

For those that can use the search engine . . . it's not useless.

The vast majority of the beginning users around here are clueless about what an error is and are completely clueless about what to actually search for, let alone how to use the forum's search engine. The single most beneficial option on the search engine is "Display results as: Posts" and people don't seem to understand it.

The defining point of a person who is a user / newbie and somebody who even in the intermediate to advanced category is the ability to read the screen. Just reading the screen and taking the time to understand what it is saying and not saying turns you from yet another idiot user to somebody that can actually help themselves.

There are literally countless posts where some_new_user asks "I got this error and I don't know what it means". Well what the fuck do you think it means? If it is still so oblivious to you, search for the text of the error. Not the 50 lines of text on either side of the error, the actual error. This is where reading the screen comes into play, the ability to pick out what the message is telling you versus the chatter.

The search engine is *NOT* useless. Every question you can come up with has been asked at least once. Are there a lot of crap posts? yes. But learning to use the search engine solves a lot of those issues.

Kudos to penisthebest for being able to pick out the error code, just work on being able to use the "Display results as: Posts" and you will go far being able to find answers on your own.
Reading . . . it's not just for me.
