OT: Speakers

Post by Alisandra » Tue Feb 18, 2003 7:53 pm

Hi,

(Asking this here since a lot of people using MQ also seem to be botting multiple characters.)

Does anyone know of hardware that would allow the sound from 2+ copies of everquest to be played through *1* set of speakers? ie, merging the sound output of multiple computers. Thanks!

very easy to do,

you need to buy a 8mm stereo y-splitter cable with 2 female to 1 male connectors.

plug your two computer sound cables into the female ends of the y cable and plug the male end of the y cable into your speakers.

...Or just do what I do. Run your second PC sound into the "lilne in" jack on your primary PC. Set volume levels appropriately and you now have only one volume control needed for both computers. Very handy if you have a volume control on your keyboard or whatever.
