Uplink and Relay are a bit misleading.
1st you have 3 consoles, main, is1, is2 where main is the systemtray console and is also the uplink console, is1 and is2 are game sessions. you can get the session list by typing session in the main console.
2nd the 2 game consoles is1 and is2 shouldn't really have the Relay command (unless i'm mistaken)
So here's how it works:
From is1 send 'Uplink Relay is2 -rsp echo message from is1'
that will send a Relay command to the uplink (main) console telling it to send 'echo message from is1' to the is2 console
As far as I can tell Relay without the -rsp is useless and Relay from a game session is useless.
There are a few places that contain the information about Uplink and Relay and they are all slightly different and I needed to gather info from them all to figure it out.
well on second(or 10th) look I found this line in a release note
- Added Relay command for sessions to avoid issues with re-parsing commands with the Uplink command
this link fails to mention the '-rsp' switch
http://www.lavishsoft.com/wiki/index.ph ... Command%29
so does this one
http://www.lavishsoft.com/wiki/index.ph ... Command%29
this one is also missing the '-rsp'
http://www.lavishsoft.com/kb/index.php?c=1&p=9076
and actually I can't seem to find any info on the '-rsp' switch execpt from my conversation with lax in the chat channel #isxeq
hope this helps
