All forums need a place for all the posts for people in the community to rant about things not relating to what the forum is about. This is that forum.

Looking for a website...

Post by Malachi » Sun Feb 02, 2003 8:01 pm

uberquest used to have a link to something like archive.com or archives.com or something like that, anyway it's a site where you can enter in a .com or a .net or whatever, and it will (if it's not secured) return every page/file that exists at that site as a clickable link.

Anyway, I used it once to snag guides from some guy's site, and the funny thing was that he had tons of fake Britney porn there too, lol. Anyway, if anyone knows what site I'm talking about or they have another one that will do the same thing, I'd really appreciate it if you'd toss up the link. Apparently I failed to bookmark it.

Don't know that site, but try offline explorer, download them all, and then you have them to keep or not to keep.

You used to be able to do the same thing by adding a ? to the address, but not anymore.

Mostly it's super handy for leeching files, lol. You just search the site, get the pdf's, exe's, whatever, and use ol' download accelerator and click "leech files". Yeah.

You're my hero.

In all the nets and coms and orgs I checked, I forgot to check the singular.org. Haha. Thanks!

That's it!

Try it on those guide sites..., hehe....

I tried it w/ undergroundguides. It hasn't been up long enough to have records (been selling from that site for 7 months? nope...), but some of the others do. Do a yahoo search for EQ guides and then enter those sites into it. I can't remember what site I did it w/ ages ago, but it gave me all sorts of guides. They all sucked, lol, but I got them.

YEah, it's the wayback machine. :)

Also check out the Prelinger archives. It's got tons of GREAT old short films. :)
