eqgame.exe won't quit

Post by Lord Yei » Sat Feb 01, 2003 10:47 am

When I quit everquest, the eqgame.exe does not terminate...

Win2k 512Mb 64M Video

when I goto task manager to stop the process, it is locked and won't stop.

Any Ideas

BTW it only happens when I have MQ running.

This aslo happend on XP but at least you can kill off the processes.

I have noticed that if you target click a player It crashes to Desktop as well leaving the game in memory.

i have the same problem

Win2K
1024 MB of ram
Nvidia 64 MB vid card ..

i did find a way to shut it down ....well 2 ways

1 Log out and back into Windows

or

2 Right click it in task manager and debug then close the debugger ... the eqgame.exe will close with the debuger program

or you can always restart that shuts everything down .... but take to much time when EQ crashes got any reason and you still have a 400 MB copy running in ram ... i find the debug to be that fastest way to get back into the game ... just my 2cp ..... have fun
