What do you mean stops running? Sounds like he died memed litch again and casted it died and repeated. Sounds like it was running fine...but then again your going to have to clarifyOldNecro wrote:MQ *completely* stops running when EQ is not the window in focus. I liched to death probably a dozen times before I realized what the problem was...
This happens to me about 1 in 20 or 30 times of tabing out of EQ using EQW. Happens near never (once, twice? so far) with perl installed.OldNecro wrote:Basically, what I notice happening is when I use the included windowed mode with EQ, MQ pauses all operations if that window loses focus. For example, if I start up Outlook or anything else for that matter and my mouse leaves the EQ window, MQ stops running, then continues running from where it left off in the macro as soon as the window comes back into focus.
I'm using win98se and the latest IRC package.

/agreeMalachi wrote:Since the windowed version that SOE offers stinks for many reasons, I'd assume the cause is obvious...Using the default windowed mode, you CANNOT type if the window does not have focus, so it would make sense that EQ would not accept keystrokes/input at this time either, even those generated by MQ.
Additionally, the windowed mode hates XP and you have to use the marginally effective patch. If you haven't done that, try it, and if you have then I'm sorry.
I still use EQW, since it's tons better than sony's crappy windowed mode. The new EQW is only something like 267k, so get it. None of my friends has had any success w/ sony's mode, it either screws up the graphics (specifically gamma), crashes EQ, or lags it all to nuts. Oh, and I'm assuming that they're still saying EQW doesn't violate the EULA, but then this is macroquest, lol, I don't think I care. :)
Just throwin that out there...
